Learn the ABCs of Family Biking

Interested in the Baltimore Family Bike Party, but don't know where to start? September 21 might be the event for you: the ABCs of Family Biking. This partnership among Bikemore, Bike Maryland and the Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance celebrates biking with children and introduces local families to the tools, skills and equipment that can help them start biking together.

The event will have a number of awesome workshops and components:

• “Pedal Parent” Show-and-Tell
• Family-friendly Bike Shops
• Refreshments from Red Emma’s
• Bikeadelic Decorations
• Bike Rodeo

The event will take place from 10am to noon that day in the BCPS parking lot -- you know, the parking lot on Guilford that splits the Bike Boulevard in half at North Ave.

Join Bikemore for Music To Your Gears

On September 7, join Bikemore for our biggest event yet: Music to Your Gears! The event will kick off at 3pm in Druid Hill Park. There, you’ll find it all: food trucks, beer, music, bike rides and more.

The event will feature some of Baltimore's heavy hitters.

On the food truck front, the event will be sponsored by the Gathering, the fantastic folks who have thrown many a successful food truck rally around the city.

In terms of music, you'll be entertained by Soul Cannon, Greasy Hands, and Nelly's Echo.

And of course, you'll find bike rides around the Druid Park Lake, sponsored by Bikemore, as well as Baltimore City Recs and Parks.

You don't want to miss this one.

Proceeds will benefit Bikemore, so make sure you show up, grab a bite, and show your support.

Today's Loch Raven Ride Now Free

Some last minute changes for today's Loch Raven Ride.

First, the ride is now free.  There will be no BBQ, but riders are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages.

Refunds will be granted as soon as possible.

Otherwise, the ride will be the same.  It rolls at 10am today at the Wyman Park Dell.

Ride the Baltimore Family Bike Party This Saturday

The Baltimore Family Bike Party is doing its thing once again this Saturday. The route will take riders through South Baltimore for a fun loop through Federal Hill, Riverside Park and Sharp-Leadenhall, ending at the Solo Gibbs Park Splash Pad for the first Baltimore Family Biking Pool Party.

The Lowdown on August Baltimore Bike Party

This month's Baltimore Bike Party is beach themed, and listen up:  they're switching it up a little bit.  Not only will this month meet at Pearlstone Park, it will meet on the 23rd (rather than 30th).  Here's the word from Facebook:

Spread smiles, cheers, laughs, and high fives on our monthly ride through Baltimore City! This month our afterparty will be in partnership with The Gathering and ending at West Shore Park in the Inner Harbor. Expect food trucks, beer (yes we have beer again!), DJ Ro and great times!
