Our goal is to assure the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has sufficient funding so that Marylanders can safely and reliably travel to their destinations -- work, school, shopping, medical appointments, places of worship and more -- every day. MTA currently projects a $2 billion shortfall in funds needed to maintain a state of good repair for MARC trains, buses, subway, light rail and mobility over the next decade. We cannot allow this situation to stand!
An adequately funded MTA will result in safer and reliable public transit service, less traffic congestion and climate pollution, healthier communities, more equitable transit, and access to a wider workforce for Maryland businesses.
