The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has proposed deep cuts to transit service in the Baltimore. 25 bus routes are set to be completely eliminated. Others routes will see reduced frequency and longer wait times.
MTA’s rationale for these cuts are ridership drops related to the pandemic, but also says these cuts will be permanent. When the economy starts to reopen more and ridership returns many people may find that their old bus line is gone.
We need to clearly demand that these cuts be reversed. Join us for one of our workshops to learn more about MTA’s proposal and how you can speak up, whether it’s at MTA’s virtual public comment hearings, on social media, and more.
