Fill the Room! Separated Bike Lane Network

  • War Memorial Building 101 North Gay Street Baltimore, MD, 21202 United States (map)

As the city works to set out priorities for next 5 years, we need you to weigh in! This is a meeting to get public input on how to prioritize the Bike Master Plan over the next 2-5 years.

The 2015 Bike Master Plan comprehensively maps out bike routes in every neighborhood in Baltimore. Now Baltimore City DOT is creating an addendum to the Bike Master Plan, called the Baltimore City Separated Bike Lane Network, to prioritize implementation.

This addendum will map the level of “traffic stress” on each of Baltimore’s streets, and then identify a network of protected lanes and supporting bicycle facilities (like bike boulevards) to connect to existing facilities and existing “low-stress” streets. The goal is to make the majority of Baltimore neighborhoods safely accessible by bike over the next 5 years by connecting new and existing.

This will have a big impact on what biking will feel like in neighborhoods through Baltimore, so it's critical that bicyclists across the city provide input!
