The Maryland Avenue Cycle Track is turning ONE!

A year ago the protected bike lane on Maryland Avenue went in, and since then we've heard an outpouring of support. Over and over we hear, "I now feel comfortable commuting to work again" or "I can now ride in the city with my kids!" It's pretty clear that it has changed the day to day lives of a lot of people.

But one of the silliest things we also hear a lot is that no one uses it. While we know that's not true, we're inviting you to join us in using it together, and celebrate the best bike lane in Baltimore turning one!

10am | Meet at Wyman Park Dell for coffee, birthday donuts, and meeting others who love to bike.

11am | BIKE PARADE leaves Wyman Park Dell heading south on the Maryland Avenue. This is a slow, fun, silly ride. All are welcome to ride with us! 

until 2pm | Lunch + Drinks at Mt. Vernon Market Place. Pay as you go. Taste of the Marketplace - $5 specials throughout the Market will be going on, so there will be $5 specials at (almost) every stall at the Mount Vernon Marketplace! 

Whether you live along the Maryland Ave, have been using it to get to work, or want a protected bike lane in your neighborhood — come ride with us! The cycle track is a BIG win for bikes in Baltimore, and showing your enthusiasm for it demonstrates that we want to see this in all neighborhoods.

So come in costume, come with noise makers, come with your kiddos, come with bright colors. Join us in celebrating Maryland Avenue Bike Lane's first birthday with a big bike parade!
