First Annual Halloween AlleyRat Race and After Party

Looking for some Halloween fun on your bike? Want to warm up for Cranksgiving in November? Join this alleycat race organized by our friend and photographer Brian O’Doherty! Proceeds from $10 entry fee goes to benefit BYKE.

From the organizer:

Halloween is a good time of year to get weird and this race will be full of weird! Get ready for flamingoes, toilets, rats, kiddie pools, eating gross things and getting messy. Nice clothes strongly discouraged!

The ride will go through paved park roads, and dirt trails. (photo of anticipated trail conditions posted in comments)
By doing the route this way, with potentially equalizing checkpoints we hope to make the ride more enjoyable to the casual rider, and make it more about the experience instead of who will make it back first. Total milage will be 15-20miles.

Important things to know:
-Teams of 2-4 riders
-General format: receive manifest of locations, ride to checkpoints and perform challenges. Complete as many as possible and ride to finish.
-Costumes encouraged but be safe.
-A firm 6:30pm Start time to race
-$10 ride fee as a donation to BYKE.
-32c width tires encouraged but not mandatory
-Items to bring:
Bike lights (lights for sale at start)
Small pumpkin (1 per team)
Bike bag
Bike repair kit
Not nice clothes

Volunteers are need for the checkpoints. If you like doing mean things to people, click the link below to sign-up. People will be paired up at each stop so if you have a buddy you'd like to be with, add them to the answer in the form.
