The DC Bike Ride, presented by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and Events DC, is pleased to announce its return to the streets of Washington D.C. for the first time in a Fall setting after moving to a virtual format last year in the face of the pandemic.
The region’s only car-free event and biggest celebration of bicycling will return on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021. Riders will tour the city’s famous sights on 20 miles of car-free roads and enjoy photo stops, local music, and rest areas before entering the finish festival in front of the U.S. Capitol Building on 3rd Street.
The DC Bike Ride celebration begins earlier in the week, on September 23-24, with a packet pickup party taking place at the District Wharf. Following the ride, participants are invited to enjoy the Finish Festival presented by Sibley Memorial Hospital, which will feature live music, fitness classes, a kids area, local food, and other fun activities. The Finish Festival is free and open to the general public to attend as well. The DC Bike Ride will continue to prioritize health and safety and the event will be conducted in compliance with CDC and local health department recommendations.
Tickets are $67
