Calling all ghosts, ghouls, and goblins who gravitate towards grinding gravel: have we got an event for you!!! For this year’s Halloween alleycat we created a route full of fun experiences and spooky challenges that give equal chance to all types of riders. Whether you’re a speed demon, mtb monster, or a kooky casual rider, you’ll find a freakishly fun ride. RIP through 15-20 miles of pavement, gravel, and dirt, about 15% gravel/offroad.
Trophies and/or prizes will be awarded to the teams with the most points, those new to alleycats, DFL, WTF and a few other categories that will remain secret until the start of the race. Costumes are encouraged, but be forewarned, things may get messy (blood, slime, ectoplasm, etc.) If you dare to brave the challenges of the hallowed eve, we will see you there…
Bike jousting at the after party. Come win the jousting crown! After party will be at location near Lake Montabello, posted on the manifest or shared at the start of the race.
Important things to know:
Teams of 2-4 riders
General format: receive manifest of locations, ride to checkpoints and perform challenges. Complete as many as possible before end time and ride to finish.
Costumes encouraged but be safe.
A firm 6:30pm start time to race
32c width tires encouraged but not mandatory

Bike lights (lights for sale at start)
Bike bag
Bike service kit
Not nice clothes
Covid precautions will be taken at checkpoints, and challenges have been chosen with safe protocols in mind.
Volunteers are need for the checkpoints. People will be paired up at each stop so if you have a buddy you'd like to be with, add them to the answer in the form.
